Changelog

What shipped, when.

Every public change, as it ships.

Every change to our public repositories, and every release of our sites and portals, in plain words. How our private systems are built and defended stays private.

  1. changedatheron-site

The plan now lists what is decided

Five items join the plan: version numbers and release days, five languages everywhere, legal pages on every site, the developer platform with its documentation and MCP server, and our own market foundation model, listed apart from the ATON AI model. Four descriptions are corrected: the GPU mesh is paid in ATON by the people who use its computing, continuous verification runs on two machines, the domains item names every product's domain, and prediction markets get one engine per venue.

  2. fixedatheron-site

Every page brought up to date after the launch

The status page now says when our monitoring began, so the grey days before it read as days nothing was recorded, not as outages. This changelog now lists every release of our sites and portals, including the ones built in private. The projects page counts what is live today: ATON Desk, the members portal and the ATON Blockchain site are in use, while the chain's numbers and the full history of every exchange are still being worked on.

  3. addedatheron-site

This tracker and the status page are finished

Two pieces of the first phase are done: this tracker, which works out the progress, the roadmap and the changelog from our own work and updates as it changes, in five languages; and the status page, which shows whether each public service is up and ninety days of history. The first phase also lists three pieces of work it was missing: the status page on its own, the Atheron Network Labs site, and our help centres, blogs and press pages.

  4. fixedatheron-site

Each language's pages in their own language again

Since launch, every page of this site in French, Spanish, German or Urdu showed in English. The translations were all there, but the site never passed on which language you had asked for. It does now, so each page shows its own language, and Urdu reads right to left.

  5. fixedatheron-platform

The team portal, 0.1.1 to 0.1.8

The portal we run the company from took eight quick fixes after launch: notifications in every browser, a support agent who stays shown as available on every page, alarms about backups and maintenance that say what really happened, LinkedIn in the social studio, and posting to Discord and Telegram from the portal working again.

  6. addedatheron-platform

The team portal 0.2.0: people and hiring, rebuilt

The first planned release since launch rebuilds the people side of the portal: joining, leaving, changes to a job or its pay, time off and reminders, each on screens of its own. The portal can be used in a light theme too.

  7. changedatheron-site

    This site is version 0.1.3

The update of 7 October, which brings every page up to date with what is true after the launch.

  8. addedatheron-brand

Four more of our sites get their own colours

Our brand files now hold an electric colour of their own for four more of our sites, each with its own logos, icons and profile pictures: indigo for ATON Blockchain, magenta for ATON Desk, orange for the members portal and the sign-in pages, and silver for the team portal, which also has a light theme. The trading site keeps its blues.

  9. addedatheron-brand

This site's own colours, type and logos

Our brand files now hold this site's own colour set, its type and its logos in lime and jade, along with its icons and profile pictures, so everything it shows matches.

  10. changedatheron-site

A new look for this site, in electric lime

This site has a look of its own now: electric lime on a near-black green, with new type for reading and for figures. The headings keep the Atheron face, with lime in place of blue. The numbers and how they are worked out have not changed.

  11. fixedatheron-*

    The first fixes after launch

On 6 October every site and portal moved to version 0.1.1 with a round of fixes: a page of our own, in your language, when something is down or being worked on; menus and buttons that fit a phone; and a look of its own for this tracker, in electric lime, and for the careers site, in electric coral.

  12. fixedatheron-platform

    ATON Desk, 0.1.1 to 0.1.4

Notifications switch on in every browser. A chat that nobody could answer in time becomes a ticket, so the person who asked still hears back by email. Chats, tickets and the emails about them are in all five of our languages.

  13. fixedatheron-platform

    The sign-in service, 0.1.1 to 0.1.4

An identity check now takes its result straight from the check itself, including the province or state it confirmed, so a verified member's region is right the first time. The sign-in pages took the launch fixes too.

  14. fixedatheron-platform

The members portal and the careers site, 0.1.2

Both took the launch fixes in two steps on 6 October. The careers site has its own look now, in electric coral, with its own logos and type, so it is easy to tell apart from our product sites.

  15. fixedatheron-network-site

    The ATON Blockchain site, 0.1.2

The small icon in your browser tab is always our own now, the same as on our other sites, and the page you see when something goes wrong is set in our own type.

  16. addedatheron-brand

The careers site gets its own colours and logos

Our brand files now hold the careers site's own look: electric coral, its own type and its own logos, so it is easy to tell apart from our product sites.

  17. changedatheron-site

One press kit, the same on every site

The press kit on each of our sites now has the same sections in the same order: what the product is, words you can quote, the logos, colours and typefaces, pictures of the site, the company facts and how to reach us. You can download everything in one file.

  18. addedatheron-brand

Our logos without the trademark sign

Our logo files no longer carry the trademark sign or the old slogan, and the coin no longer has words around the bottom of its ring. The press kits offer these clean versions.

  19. addedatheron-site

Bold words, quotes, tables and code in our articles

Our blog articles can now use bold and italic words, quotes, and boxes marked Tip, Note or Warning. They can also hold tables and short pieces of code, coloured to make them easier to read. A table or a piece of code wider than your screen scrolls sideways in its own box, so the page itself never does. Headings can also be set in our plain typeface instead of the display one.

  20. addedatheron-site

Pictures and videos in our articles

Our blog articles can now show pictures, YouTube videos and posts on X. Pictures keep their space while they load, so the page does not jump. A video shows a still and a play button, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. A post on X is a link to it, and nothing loads from X.

  21. changedatheron-site

Articles in English on other language pages

Some blog articles are written in English and French only. On the Spanish, German and Urdu pages they now show in English, marked as English, with a link to the French where there is one, instead of being left out.

  22. changedatheron-site

    This site is version 0.1.1

The first update to this site after launch came out on 6 October, with its new look in electric lime. The version and the day it came out are at the bottom of every page.

  23. changedatheron-site

This site is version 0.1.2: our own icon in your tab

The small icon in your browser tab is always our own now, the same file as on our other sites, and the page you see when something goes wrong is set in our own type.

  24. addedatheron-site

The version at the bottom of every page

The bottom of every page now shows which version of the site you are looking at, what kind of update it was and the day it came out, next to our copyright line. It is in your language, and it changes each time we update the site.

  25. changedatheron-site

The blog menu, the same on every site

The blog menu now opens one panel under the top bar, the same as on our other sites, with the newest article at the end and links to see all articles or subscribe. Nothing in it is cut off, and every link is easy to tap on a phone.

  26. fixedatheron-site

The German blog title fits on two lines

On a phone, the German title of our blog broke onto three lines. It now reads "Der Blog zum Fortschritt", which says the same thing in two.

  27. changedatheron-site

Every page, complete in five languages

The site cannot go live unless every word is there in English, French, Spanish, German and Urdu. A missing line in any of them now stops it before it reaches you.

  28. addedatheron-*

Launch day: every site and portal at version 0.1.0

On 5 October our sites and portals went out together as version 0.1.0: the trading site, taking reservations, the ATON Blockchain site, Atheron Network Labs, the ATON Desk site and app, this tracker, the members portal, the sign-in service, the careers site, the client portal and the team portal. Each one shows its version and the day it came out at the bottom of every page.

  29. changedatheron-site

    Our city, not our street

What the site tells search engines about us now gives our city, province and country, not our street. We have no shop you can visit, and a street address suggested one. Our full registered office is still in the footer and on the legal pages.

  30. addedatheron-site

    Call us from any page

Our phone number is now at the bottom of every page and on the contact page. On a phone, tap it to call. It comes from the company's own record, so when the number changes, the site changes with it.

  31. changedatheron-site

Footer links big enough for a finger

On a phone, every link at the bottom of the page is now big enough for a finger. The row of legal pages runs onto a second line when it does not fit the screen, instead of hiding its last pages past the edge.

  32. fixedatheron-site

Easier to tap on a phone

Every link and button at the top of the page is now big enough for a finger, the menu stays on one line on a tablet, and filling in a form on a phone no longer leaves the page zoomed in.

  33. addedatheron-site

    A blog, in every language

The site now has a blog, the last item in the menu, in all five languages. Each article is approved before it appears. You can subscribe by email: we ask you to confirm your address first, and every email has a link to unsubscribe.

  34. addedatheron-brand

Our logo on Google's sign-in screen

When you sign in to our live chat app, ATON Desk, with a Google account, Google's own screen now shows the Desk logo, drawn sharp on our dark background so it looks the same as everywhere else.

  35. addedatheron-site

What we are building, for anyone to read

A short public list of everything marked as being built on the projects page, in the same words. Our daily post reads it, so even on a quiet day it can say something true about the work.

  36. addedatheron-brand

Link previews drawn in our own faces

When a link to one of our sites is shared, the preview now shows a picture drawn in our own typefaces: the Atheron logo on a dark panel, the site's name and its headline. Urdu is drawn in the same Nastaliq face the sites use.

  37. addedatheron-site

A picture with every shared link

Share a link to any page and the preview now shows a picture with the site's name and its headline, in the language of the page you shared.

  38. fixedatheron-site

Spanish and German headings, in our own type

The site picked up the new letters in our typefaces, so a Spanish or German heading no longer borrows letters from another typeface, and nothing on the page moved to make room for them.

  39. addedatheron-brand

Spanish and German letters in our typefaces

Our display typeface now has the accented letters Spanish and German need, the German sharp s, and the Spanish opening question and exclamation marks. Our text typeface has the capital sharp s too, so a Spanish or German heading comes out entirely in our own type.

  40. addedatheron-site

Every project, and our whole history

A new page follows every Atheron project, piece by piece, with how much of each is in use today. The numbers are counted from a written list, never typed in, and something built but not yet in use does not count as done. This changelog now tells our whole history from the first day, in plain words.

  41. changedatheron-site

    A tidier footer

The bottom of every page now carries our company's mark beside its name, a link to our press kit, and the privacy, terms and cookie links on one line, in your language.

  42. removedatheron-brand

Our logos always sit on a dark panel

Our logos are always shown on a dark panel, even on a white page, because the silver lettering is hard to read on white. The press kit no longer offers a version for light backgrounds.

  43. addedatheron-site

    A press kit

A press kit, linked from the bottom of every page, in five languages: our logos in this site's colours, ready to download, how to place them on light and dark backgrounds, what not to do with them, our colours with their codes, and our typefaces by name. Font files are not offered.

  44. changedatheron-site

A sharper check on the chat

The check that keeps our support chat on every page now tests what matters to you, that the chat is there, rather than exactly where on the page it sits.

  45. addedatheron-brand

Our logos, ready for the press

We prepared our logos for a press kit: the full logo, the wordmark and the symbol, each in the colours of the site that offers it. Each comes as a drawing that scales to any size and as images at the sizes people usually need, on white and on dark. Versions of the logo that carry a slogan are not offered.

  46. addedatheron-site

    The tracker in five languages

Every page now reads in English, French, Spanish, German and Urdu, which reads right to left. Pick your language in the header or the footer. Dates, numbers and percentages are written the way your language writes them.

  47. addedatheron-site

Easy to find, for people and for assistants

Search engines and AI assistants can now read every page, with a map of the site and a short summary written for assistants. Every page tells a search engine which language it is in and where its other four languages are.

  48. addedatheron-site

The footer says who runs the site

The footer names Atheron Network Inc. with its registered office and business numbers, read from our company record, and links to our privacy notice, terms and cookie notice. It also says this site sets no cookies of its own.

  49. addedatheron-site

Chat with us, on every page

Every page now has our support chat in the corner. You give your name and email, our assistant answers first, and a person takes over when it cannot help.

  50. changedatheron-site

Every heading fits in two lines

Each page now opens with a short title and a one-line tagline, and every heading fits in two lines on a phone, a tablet and a desk. Names that come from the plan are never cut short to fit.

  51. changedatheron-brand

Every site gets exactly the same logo files

The icons and colour files our sites read are now kept beside the originals they are made from, so every site gets exactly the same files.

  52. addedatheron-brand

French letters in our display typeface

Our display typeface now has the accented letters French needs, French quotation marks, and common symbols such as the ampersand and the per cent sign, so a French heading comes out entirely in our own type.

  53. changedatheron-site

French headings, in our own type

The site picked up the new accented letters in our display typeface, and nothing on the page moved to make room for them.

  54. fixedatheron-brand

Checking our icons without touching them

The check that our icons are up to date now compares a fresh copy against the published ones and changes nothing. Before, it could let an out-of-date icon through without noticing.

  55. changedatheron-site

The trading items, in the trading site's words

Four items in the trading part of the plan were reworded so the trading site can show them in its own words. Nothing about the work, how much it counts for, or how far along it is changed.

  56. addedatheron-spec

    One billion, and never more

There will never be more than one billion ATON. Miners keep being paid for good from a small reward that shrinks over time inside that limit. The coin is called ATON. The shape of the reward over time is not decided yet.

  57. changedatheron-site

The chain's site shows its progress live

The chain's own site can now read this tracker, so its progress bar and roadmap show the same numbers you see here.

  58. addedatheron-spec

Blocks may be made side by side

The specification settles that blocks may be made side by side rather than strictly one after another, with one rule that puts them all in a single order every node agrees on. How often blocks are made and the rule's exact settings are not decided yet.

  59. addedatheron-site

The progress tracker, back at its own address

The progress tracker is back, at progress.aton-network.org. It shows the whole plan, the three parts of the company each with its own number, whether our public services are working, and every item phase by phase. It updates while you watch, and when nothing has reported it says so rather than showing a reassuring zero.

  60. changedatheron-status

Routine updates to the status page through September

Weekly routine updates to the tools the status page is built with.

  61. changedatheron-site

    Routine updates

Routine updates to the tools the site is built with.

  62. addedatheron-site

This tracker, and a public changelog

A home page, this changelog and a build tracker replaced a single page of colours. Only our public work appears in the changelog, and an entry from anywhere else is turned away twice before it could ever be shown.

  63. addedatheron-site

    Our brand on one page

A page that shows our colours and typefaces exactly as the sites use them, so anyone can check them at a glance.

  64. addedatheron-brand

Our colours and type come from one place

The colours and typefaces every site uses are written down once, and each site reads them from there. A check makes sure every site still matches, so a colour cannot quietly drift on one page.

  65. changedatheron-site

    Prices in Canadian dollars

Prices are in Canadian dollars and the page says so, the list of countries we cannot sell to was corrected, and a backlog of routine updates was cleared.

  66. changedatheron-status

The status page watches the community bots

The status page now checks the Discord and Telegram bots too, and an earlier entry about it was corrected.

  67. changedatheron-site

What happens to a refund and to your documents

The terms and the refund policy say where a refund goes, and the privacy notice says what happens to an identity document and for how long it is kept. The first phase of the plan became seven items instead of eighteen, here, in the specification and on the status page, and the tracker refuses a report that disagrees with the plan.

  68. changedatheron-site

Legal pages that say who we are

The chat shows when somebody is typing and shows the files people send. The legal pages were rebuilt to say who publishes them, the refund policy answers for your own country, the delivery estimate is printed, and the programme was renamed Back Atheron. Country flags now show on Windows too.

  69. changedatheron-site

Where we sell, and a chat that reads like a phone

The site now says where we sell and where we do not, and asks where a buyer lives. The chat reads like a conversation on a phone, names who is answering, shows a quote as a quote, and takes attachments.

  70. addedatheron-brand

    A price for every country

A document that sets a price for every product in every country we sell to, regenerated as the figures and the list of countries changed.

  71. addedatheron-site

Chat with us, on every page

Every page got a Chat with us button that opens a real conversation, with a light that shows whether somebody is there to answer, and you can end a chat yourself. Prices came off the public site for now, and the plan was updated to the work actually under way.

  72. changedatheron-site

    Routine updates

Routine updates to the tools the site is built and published with. The site now says exactly where a page may load anything from, and the team portal's description was brought up to date.

  73. changedatheron-status

Routine updates to the status page

Routine updates to the tools the status page is built with, and it now says exactly where it may load anything from.

  74. changedatheron-brand

    A web-sized mark, and a duplicate removed

A web-sized mark and wordmark were added, and a changelog entry that had been published several times over was removed here and in the documentation.

  75. changedatheron-site

    Tested on every push

The changelog now refreshes every minute instead of every five, and a duplicated entry was removed. Every change to the site is now tested by a machine that throws unexpected input at it. The status page joined the tracker, and the tools the site is built with are watched for updates.

  76. addedatheron-status

    A status page

A public status page went up: a live board of whether each service people use is working. It is built so that it fails if a service it lists is not actually being checked, and so that it never reports an outage that did not happen. Its form refuses email addresses that cannot exist.

  77. changedatheron-spec

The starting consensus settings are locked

The starting consensus settings were marked as locked, with the day they were finished.

  78. changedatheron-spec

The chain's identity, and its first locked settings

The chain's identity was prepared for registration with the directories wallets read, and its icon was published where it cannot change. Work began on locking the consensus settings: the reasons to reject a setting were written down before any simulation ran, and a first baseline was locked, with a note of what it does not cover.

  79. changedatheron-site

The early supporter programme gets a cart

The early supporter programme was renamed the Product Launchpad Program, given a cart, and had its rules put on the page. The places in each tier were corrected to count places rather than people. Two portals joined the plan, a link to an internal page was taken off the site, and every change must now come with a changelog entry.

  80. addedatheron-brand

Logos in every shape we are asked for

Versions of the logo at the sizes partners ask for, a tightly cropped wordmark, a stacked version, and a web-sized copy of the full logo. Every change to the brand, and to the documentation, must now come with a changelog entry.

  81. changedatheron-site

The rest of the pages, rebuilt

The remaining pages were rebuilt to match: developers, security, the coin's supply, mining, the tracker, the changelog, the roadmap, the early supporter programme, the community and the about page.

  82. changedatheron-site

    The site deploys itself

The site now goes live on its own once every check passes, and runs on more than one server so one can be replaced while another keeps answering. The tracker reads the repositories on each visit instead of once a day, and pages no longer overlap on mid-sized screens.

  83. addedatheron-site

    A weekly mailing list

The home page now leads with the product. A weekly mailing list was added, with a signup box in the footer as well as at the top, one address able to join only once, and unsubscribing that sticks. Clicks on its links are counted without a tracking pixel or a redirect, and a claim about verification that was never true was taken down.

  84. changedatheron-site

Early supporters, and where to find us

The early supporter programme was set out with two tiers, each with a limited number of places, and marked as coming soon rather than open. The footer was rebuilt and now leads with the fair launch. Discord became the one place for backers, and Telegram is one public channel.

  85. addedatheron-site

A page for every part of the trading product

Each part of the trading product got a page of its own with a drawing that shows what it does: the engine, risk controls, alerts, tax exports, custody, exchange connections, backtesting and the strategy marketplace. Each page was then rewritten so it reads clearly to somebody arriving cold, and the questions page stopped opening with what we will not do.

  86. changedatheron-site

    The tracker, kept honest

The progress tracker learned to keep working when GitHub is unavailable, to refuse a report thinner than the one it already holds, and to read each repository's own list of the work it is responsible for. Every change now needs a changelog entry, newest first.

  87. changedatheron-chain

Each repository says what it is responsible for

The specification, the documentation, the node, the consensus rules, the explorer and the Rust library each list the parts of the plan they own, so the tracker reads progress from the place the work is done.

  88. changedatheron-site

The real logo, and a card for every shared link

The Atheron mark became the site's icon, the real logo replaced the placeholder in the header and footer, the tagline was brought into line with the logo, and every page got a card that shows when it is shared.

  89. changedatheron-site

    Plans, side by side

The pricing page was rebuilt with a monthly and yearly switch and a table that compares the plans, and its headline now says what you get.

  90. addedatheron-site

The whitepapers, and pages for the chain

The technical and plain-language whitepapers were published, and the chain got pages of its own for consensus, mining and the parts still to come. The fair launch disclosure was corrected, and every page got a trail back to where you came from.

  91. addedatheron-brand

    The first logos

The first logo set, square images for our social accounts, a card for shared links, a guide for building our Discord server, and the whitepaper sources kept in one place.

  92. addedatheron-chain

A home for each part of the chain

Repositories were set up for the specification, the node, the consensus rules, the block explorer, the documentation and the two client libraries, under the name Atheron.

  93. addedatheron-brand

    A home for the brand

The repository that holds our colours, type and logos was set up, under the name Atheron.

  94. addedatheron-site

    The first website

The first Atheron website went up, with a home page, a live progress tracker and a changelog. Through the day the opening was rewritten several times so it says plainly who it is for, a live price chart replaced the opening animation, and the closing sections were rewritten in the plain voice we still use.
